COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on approach to problem-solving. The goal of CBT is to change patterns of thinking or behavior, which may contribute to and increase depression and anxiety. By changing the way we think and act, we can also change the way we feel.

SOLUTION-FOCUSED TECHNIQUES

I use solution-focused techniques to build on a person’s strengths, not weaknesses.

Depending on whether a client’s anxiety and depression are rooted subconsciously or cognitively, I determine what type of therapy will help him or her best. The subconscious level involves stress and adrenalin buildup (SRT). Cognitive anxiety and depression stem from unhealthy thinking patterns and inaction.
